Measuring DE Filter Grids

Process for measuring a DE filter gird will vary slightly depending on the type of grid you have:
Curved Grids: For the width measure across the top or bottom of the grid straight across from tip to tip, do not follow the curve of the grid
Then for the length measure from top to bottom of the grid itself, not including the plastic tip.
Straight (square or rectangular) Grids: Simply measure across the top from side to side for the width, and then from top to bottom for the length. You may need to notice if your grid tip is offset (to one side or the other) or center. These are called offset port and center port. |
